Location: Nechako Reservoir – Skins Lake Spillway

Date: Aug to Oct 2019

The Scope of Work consisted of repairs to the Skins Lake Spillway to mitigate ongoing degradation within the upper spillway and the plunge pool. Preparatory work included complete dewatering of the plunge pool, fish salvage and installation of a bypass system to maintain minimum in stream flow requirements and facilitate repairs in dry conditions.  Repair works consisted of rock scaling including removal of degraded shotcrete and roller compacted concrete to allow for the installation of rock dowels and anchors followed by shotcrete application on the walls and cast in place concrete on the slabs.
