Project overview
The project consisted of the installation of eleven foundations for new 500kV transmission towers on the BC Hydro system. The new towers were designed to facilitate a bypass around an active slide area that was affecting the reliability of circuit 5L063. Five of the towers were rock anchor foundations and the other six were grillages; due to thier complex nature there was constant survey oversite and required extreme attention to detail to ensure alignment with the tower legs. The work commenced in May of 2022 and was competed by the end of October 2022.
